WEIHNACHTSGESCHICHTE NACH LUKAS, DIE (The Christmas Story According to Luke)

1971 performance by Balinger Kantorei (Gerhard Rehm) on Musical Heritage Society MHS 3680

Komma’s 1970 work is expressive and engaging, with its assertive dissonance and clustered harmonies. The concluding section includes an interpolated text by the composer expressing concern about the likelihood of “peace on earth, goodwill toward men.”
