CONCERTO IV BWV 1055 for flute & piano

synthsized demo recordings

mvt. 1–Allegro

mvt. 2–Larghetto

mvt. 3–Allegro ma non tanto

TRANSCRIBED FOR FLUTE WITH PIANO ACCOMPANIMENT.  Originally composed for oboe d’amour and strings, Bach also adapted Concerto No. IV as a harpsichord concerto. Steven Paxton has created a transcription for solo flute with piano. The concerto is in three movements: an astoundingly moving central adagio, bookended by exuberant allegro movements.
